RF Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: RFMD), a leading provider of proprietary radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for wireless communications applications, today announced it has commenced production shipments of CDMA power amplifier (PA) modules to Samsung Electronics, the world's third largest handset manufacturer and a global leader in consumer electronics. These CDMA production shipments occur as RFMD® marks the delivery of its 100 millionth RF component to Samsung. Both milestones highlight the strength of the relationship between RFMD and Samsung and underscore the success of RFMD's PA product portfolio.

Other major milestones for RFMD include becoming the first semiconductor company to ship an industry-leading 1 billion highly integrated cellular PAs. RF Micro Devices is the global market share leader in cellular PAs. RFMD was also first to ship 5 million EDGE transceiver chipsets, and the Company is currently the market leader in transceiver chipsets for EDGE handsets.
