Seat Belt Tensioner
Occupant safety and freedom of movement can appear to be opposing principles when it comes to seat belts. However, the difference between a loose seat belt and a properly fitted seatbelt during an accident may mean the life or death of an occupant. With that in mind seat belt tensioners can allow for the freedom of a loose shoulder belt while providing the safety of a snug properly fitted seatbelt during a critical event like an accident. Providing solutions from the embedded microcontroller to the power MOSFETS, from voltage regulation to the serial communications physical layer, ST has the answer for your seat belt tensioner needs.
