Gadgets that inform the consumer of temperature and barometric changes, such as a meteorological remote sensing unit, are becoming more popular as these devices are able predict the weather with more precision and accuracy. Component Highlights
* Temperature sensor - digital and analog sensors have accuracies of 0.5-1degC, and, with current output or two-wire interface, are ideal for remote sensing applications.
* Operational amplifier - precision RRIO low-power amplifiers include high-impedance CMOS devices to minimize loading of sensors and have a wide supply range to accommodate a variety of battery voltages.
* A/D converter - high 10-bit or greater resolution and accuracy of 1lsb or better enable high quality instrumentation, while software powerdown saves power.
