Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) recently won an award from the French association SPDEI, which includes over 40 distributors of electronic components. Members of le Syndicat Professionnel de la Distribution en Electronique Industrielle (SPDEI) include such global industry leaders as Arrow, Avnet, TTI, and Future. Vishay?s receipt of a prestigious Trophe France from SPDEI at the November 22, 2005 award ceremony at la Place de la Concorde, Paris, France, acknowledged Vishay?s role as a leading manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive components.
The Special Overall Award presented to Vishay cited Vishay for ?the quality of their services and their relationship with their distribution network.? This is very significant, given the fact that SPDEI works with 166 different component manufacturers. Receiving the award on behalf of Vishay were Philippe Masson, Distribution Manager, France, and Frans Naceur, Director of Sales, Southern Europe.
