Digi-Key Corporation announced today that it has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Power Integrations, the leading supplier of high-voltage analog integrated circuits (ICs) used in power conversion. Digi-Key, one of the fastest growing distributors of electronic components in the world, currently ships product to more than 140 countries.
Power Integrations' ICs enable manufacturers to produce small, simple, energy efficient power supplies for a vast array of consumer and industrial electronic products. With governments worldwide taking regulatory and legislative action to promote cost-effective ways to conserve energy, Power Integrations' EcoSmart® technology dramatically reduces the amount of energy wasted by power supplies, allowing manufacturers to meet all current and proposed energy efficiency regulations for electronic products.
